Senior Environmental Engineer (Strategic Water Planning)

This role will provide a leadership role for our project teams, successfully manage project timelines, budgets and project outputs and liaise with our valued clients to deliver high quality small, medium and large projects. The work will be undertaken across our fields of strategic planning for local councils and water utilities including integrated water cycle management, long-term water supply and sewerage strategy development, financial planning, developer charges and strategic business planning. It is expected that the successful applicant will take a central role in the winning, project management and technical delivery of these projects. We are looking for staff with 10+ years of experience whose interests and career aspirations align with these fields of work.

The successful applicant will be a motivated, self-starter who values teamwork and enjoys new challenges. You will intuitively understand our client’s requirements, produce excellent project outcomes and be proud of your contribution to the business.

You will have:

  • relevant tertiary qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical expertise in water supply and sewerage strategic planning

  • the ability to work on a diverse range of projects with limited supervision.

  • strong knowledge of state and federal legislative requirements relevant to water supply and sewerage

  • the ability to win work and expand our project and client base through tendering and client relationships

  • excellent problem-solving skills

  • ability to work collaboratively to achieve shared outcomes

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • experience in both passive and active stakeholder engagement 

  • the drive to deliver high quality work to a set timeframe

  • experience in consulting and project management

  • excellent report writing, data analysis and oral presentation skills

  • a reputation for a high standard of work.

Environmental Consultant

The Environmental Consultant will support our project managers in project delivery including data analysis, research, field work and reporting. The work will be undertaken across our main fields of strategic planning, coastal management, waterway and ecosystem health, integrated water cycle management and environmental assessment. We are looking for staff with 1-5 years of experience whose interests and career aspirations align with these fields of work.  

You will have:

  • relevant tertiary qualifications

  • 1-5 years of relevant experience

  • excellent problem-solving skills

  • ability to work collaboratively to achieve shared outcomes

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • drive to deliver high quality work to a set timeframe

  • excellent report writing, data analysis and oral presentation skills.
