Eurobodalla Integrated Water Cycle Management Strategy & Strategic Business Plan

Hydrosphere Consulting reviewed and updated Eurobodalla Shire Council’s Integrated Water Cycle Management (IWCM) Strategy that was first adopted in 2003.

The key issues addressed by the 2016 IWCM Strategy are drought security, sewerage system and treatment capacity and the adequacy of village water supply and sewerage services. This current IWCM Strategy has been developed from a review of Council’s adopted strategic direction and considers new information including population projections, water and sewer system demand, new Water Sharing Plans, secure yield of water sources. The risks to the environment and public health, community opinions, technical considerations and the availability of funding have been considered in the prioritisation of village water supply and sewerage schemes. The review followed the current best-practice requirements for IWCM and also included development of a Strategic Business Plan and Development Servicing Plans.

Updated capital works programs, operating budgets and financial planning to continue the IWCM implementation were provided as part of this review.
